Event Logistics & Operations Event Logistics & Operations As the Logistics Coordinator, I was responsible for executing the operational backbone of the camp — ensuring that every element ran smoothly, safely, and on schedule. My responsibilities included: * Securing and finalizing the event venue, managing communications, permits, and agreements to ensure the field and surrounding facilities were prepped and compliant with all requirements * Overseeing all camp logistics, including set-up of field equipment, hydration stations, check-in areas, branded signage, medical and security staffing, and all operational timelines * Coordinating volunteer staff and support teams, ensuring clear roles, responsibilities, and communication before and during the event * Identifying and securing sponsorships and partnerships, helping to fund the event and enhance its value through branded activations, gear, and giveaways * Managing day-of execution, serving as a key point of contact to troubleshoot and resolve any logistical issues in real time, keeping the focus on camper experience and safety On-Field Emcee & Camper Engagement In addition to logistics, I led the on-field emcee responsibilities, maintaining energy and engagement directly on the field throughout the event. This included: * Guiding campers through the day’s activities, using a mic and personal interaction to direct rotations, explain drills, and help manage transitions across the camp schedule * Keeping energy levels high, motivating kids during drills, encouraging participation, and celebrating standout moments throughout the day * Facilitating interaction with Sterling Shepard and his coaching team, ensuring smooth flow between instruction, Q&A, and group activities * Creating a dynamic and inclusive atmosphere, helping campers feel supported, seen, and excited to participate from start to finish By combining operational oversight with enthusiastic, on-field leadership, I helped deliver a well-coordinated and high-impact youth camp that reflected Sterling Shepard’s commitment to community, mentorship, and youth development. The event successfully connected young athletes with positive role models, while providing sponsors with authentic brand visibility in a meaningful and memorable setting.
