Cultural Experience Lead, Creative Director & Production Manager For the Toyota HBCUNY Classic powered by Walmart, I was brought on by Rock The Bells to help elevate the cultural experience of this prestigious event. Rock The Bells, founded by LL COOL J in 2018, is a brand dedicated to honoring the core elements of Hip-Hop — from MCs and DJs to breakdancers and graffiti artists — and extending that legacy through content, commerce, and immersive experiences. I led a talented team of creatives responsible for capturing the essence of the day’s events, from the pre-game tailgate party to the thrilling on-field game between Morehouse College and Howard University. After the game, we transitioned into capturing the high-energy post-game party at American Dream. As part of the activation, I was also tasked with conducting interviews with Isaac Keys, a Morehouse College alumnus and actor known for his role as Diamond on Power Book IV: Force, and Marsai Martin, star of Black-ish and the youngest person to executive produce a major Hollywood film with Little. These interviews added an extra layer to the event's cultural storytelling. Additionally, I assisted in managing all aspects of the post-game celebration at American Dream, overseeing logistics and execution of the event, which featured a performance by the legendary Slick Rick and DJ Sus One of Power 105.1. I worked closely with Rock The Bells and the production team at American Dream to ensure the event ran smoothly, coordinating special guests and handling any production needs to deliver a seamless and memorable experience.
